How Markets Work is the first of two economics courses in the ISI Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) program. This course will provide the student a common sense approach to basic economic thinking.
Economics and the Pursuit of Happiness is the second course in ISI's Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) program. It offers students a well-reasoned look at today's most important economic topics and how a proper understanding of them leads to happiness.
Since 1953, ISI’s mission has been to educate for liberty. The ISI PPE program is an interdisciplinary, cost-effective, and flexible approach for students to receive a broad liberal arts education that prepares them for the achievement of freedom. PPE is an intellectually exciting approach, juxtaposing key disciplines while ordering and integrating knowledge for greater coherence. “How Markets Work” is the first online course in the ISI PPE program. The second economics course, “Economics and the Pursuit of Happiness,” will be available in the spring of 2018.
