Economics and the Pursuit of Happiness is the second course in ISI's Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) Academy. It offers students a well-reasoned look at today's most important economic topics and how a proper understanding of them leads to happiness.
How Markets Work is the first of two economics courses in the ISI Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) Academy. This course will provide the student a common sense approach to basic economic thinking.
Since 1953, ISI’s mission has been to educate for liberty. The ISI PPE Academy is an interdisciplinary, cost-effective, and flexible approach for students to receive a broad liberal arts education that prepares them for the achievement of freedom. PPE is an intellectually exciting approach, juxtaposing key disciplines while ordering and integrating knowledge for greater coherence. In addition to presenting great ideas, thinkers, and course professors, a micro-credential initiative is central to this project. It will allow ISI to validate knowledge, competencies, or skills with a résumé worthy new PPE certificate. Given current trends, ISI PPE certification is poised to become a valuable credential in helping students gain a serious education in liberty while securing positions in which they can make a difference.
